eCopy
desktop workflow solutions provide individual
users the ability to send paper documents from
your scanner to your eCopy Desktop for treatment
as
electronic files, capable of working with email,
network fax, and, as well, ODMA-compliant document
management applications, such as: Captaris RightFax,
Lotus Notes, Domino.Doc, Microsoft Exchange
and Outlook, plus numerous others.
This
tool can be used to add comments or instructions
to documents prior to review, edit or annotate
documents prior to distribution, and highlight,
blackout, circle or add notes to OCR scanned
documents for conversion to MS-Word and internet
browser files.
With
eCopy Desktop, scanned documents, once converted
to electronic file, can be combined with other
electronic files like Excel, Word, or any number
of windows applications, which can later be
saved with indexed text for easy retrieval,
storage, and searching capabilities. Upon distribution,
scanned documents can be exported or sent utilizing
existing email, fax, or Adobe Acrobat PDF files.
This is a capability that can comply with either
regulatory or security requirements by encrypting
any outgoing attachments with 128-bit encryption.

With
the eCopy Connector for Captaris RightFax, you
can effortlessly fax paper documents directly
from your copier or document scanner to your
RightFax fax server. The eCopy Connector for
Captaris RightFax® The eCopy Connector for
Captaris RightFax offers a robust network fax
server solution. By using a copier or scanner
as the gateway for paper-based document delivery,
faxing paper documents is easier than ever.
Utilizing
the eCopy Connector for Captaris RightFax, you
can build documents from any Windows application
right at your personal workstation, electronically
distribute paper documents with advanced paper
handling features, preview faxes to prevent
unwanted page breaks, manage and store faxes
using eCopy Desktop filing or link to leading
document management systems, access personal
fax address book directly from the RightFax
server from the digital copier or document scanner,
and OCR documents in the eCopy Desktop using
enterprise-wide applications like Lotus Notes,
or Microsoft Outlook etc.
Anyone
in your organization with network access can
annotate, email and OCR faxes right at their
desktop, and by converting paper documents into
electronic copies, you are enabled to fax paper
documents though the RightFax server for immediate
delivery to a recipient's fax machine.
