DIALOGIC ACQUIRES
CANTATA THROUGH PURCHASE OF EAS GROUP
Through the acquisition of
EAS and it's subsidiaries, Dialogic will expand its product portfolio and customer
base in the communications technology enabling market segment with its rich portfolio
of Cantata (including the Brooktrout line) communication boards and software.
The acquisition was a share-based transaction and the former shareholders of EAS
are now minority shareholders in Dialogic.
"We are
very excited about the acquisition of EAS and its subsidiaries" said Nick
Jenson, Dialogic's president and CEO. "it allows us to consolidate our position
as the market segment leader and broaden our leading edge product and service
portfolio. We are confident that we will seamlessly integrate this business into
Dialogic as successfully as we did last year when we purchased Intel Corp's media
and signaling business. Our customers can be assured that, despite our significant
growth, we will remain a company that is easy to do business with.. As well, all
our shareholders can be assured that we will continue to build Dialogic through
vision, focus and excellent execution of our strategy"
"Once
we started with Dialogic, we knew there would be great synergy in the product
roadmaps. Dialogic already had products like the IMG 1010 and MSP integrated signaling
and media gateways and platforms on its roadmap. With this acquisition, Dialogic
is able to offer these products now. For example, the IMG 1010 with its NEBS 3
design improves Dialogic's position in the carrier grade market segment."
Said Tim Murray; Chief Operating Officer at Dialogic.
